Trainings & Support

We want to make sure you have all of the right information to support the LGBTQ+ person in your life. On this page, you will find ways to get critical information to be a stronger ally or to understand how to support LGBTQ+ individuals. You can watch our most recent recorded training, find information about our ongoing monthly webinar series, and request specific technical support for any issue you are navigating.

Featured Training: Advocating for Your LGBTQ+ Child

Home, school, and community are three critical places that can impact a child’s life. An engaged and supportive parent, caregiver or family has an immense influence on the success of their child and can also be a protective factor towards a child’s positive mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being. This 45-minute training will offer parents and families of LGBTQ+ children concrete methods to support and advocate for their children at home and in school. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: terminology, safety planning, access to care, and tips for affirming LGBTQ+ children. This presentation has been developed in partnership with Equality Florida, Florida’s Kaleidoscope PTA, and PFLAG.
