Desi Rainbow offers educational programs for parents and family members to learn about important issues affecting LGBTQ+ children and adults. In partnership with Outfront Metuchen, we’re proud to present a brave space for Desi parents where you don’t have to explain: Log Kya Kahenge? (What will people say?)
When Desi parents find each other on this journey, the air in the room changes. You don’t have to define your culture or explain the weight of social and cultural expectations before the real conversation can start. You can simply begin.
Log Kya Kahenge?: Roadmap to Change the Narrative is a three-part virtual workshop series designed specifically for South Asian parents of trans and non-binary children.
These sessions are peer-led and intentionally intimate. They aren’t therapy—they are honest, heart-to-heart conversations with parents who have walked this road and found their way to a place of deep pride and joy.
Together, we will:
* Untangle the cultural expectations that can make it hard to show up fully for our kids.
* Practice the intergenerational conversations we’ve been putting off.
* Reclaim our traditions—from Raksha Bandhan to family blessings—as the protective gifts they are meant to be.
* Connect with a community of Desi parents who truly “get it.”

* Session 1: Naming Shame, Finding Our Way | Wed, June 10 • 8:30–10pm ET
* Session 2: The Intergenerational Bridge | Wed, June 17 • 8:30–10pm ET
* Session 3: Reclaiming Our Roots | Wed, June 24 • 8:30–10pm ET
* Registration is limited to 20 participants to ensure every voice is heard and the space remains safe and warm. This program is free for all Desi Rainbow members. Members provide sustaining support for Desi Rainbow with a monthly contribution of $5 or more, or an annual contribution of $60 or more.
