During legislative session, hundreds of people from across the state come together in Tallahassee for Pride at the Capitol to meet with lawmakers, directly advocate for pro-equality legislation, and fight against harmful bills as citizen lobbyists. Volunteers have the chance to testify at committee hearings, participate in rallies, and speak to the media. This campaign serves as a critical opportunity to hold lawmakers accountable and make our voices heard — and it works. Last session, we defeated every single anti-LGBTQ bill filed.
Once again, DeSantis and other extremists are trying to rip Pride from our communities — but we refuse to be erased. We’re building back bigger and bolder — and that starts in Tallahassee this January. For the first time in Equality Florida’s history, our Pride at the Capitol kickoff will span two weeks instead of one. Now, even more Floridians can join us to get trained and take action!
